According to this idea, cards bicycle you would get at police stations or schools. Now teenagers just take exams in their schools and it’s free. They can do it also in the provincial centers of traffic and driver training centers meet the additional requirements.
– I am opposed to frequent changes in traffic regulations, because they bring chaos, and this translates into a deterioration of security. Years ago, people were given more freedom, and now has to be inversely – says Marek Staszczyk, secretary Kujawsko-Pomeranian Traffic Safety Council, Director of the Provincial Road Traffic Centre in Torun. – On the other hand, cycling is more and more, and a challenge from the car does not have a chance. We must therefore start a discussion about a new social idea and parallel actions to raise awareness about the dangers on the road.
– It’s good that the government is interested in our safety, but the card cycling is not a good idea – says Sebastian Nowak from Bydgoszcz Critical Mass. – The government should assume some of the tasks associated with the development of cycling infrastructure, because it is the best instrument for improving safety. It should also be more money on campaigns promoting proper behavior of cyclists.
