German minister received an award; predestined her to help refugees – BBC

Foundation for Market Economy (Stiftung Marktwirtschaft) stated that Schäuble will provide 15 thousand. euro prize to the German Red Cross to help the Syrian refugees in the Middle East.

The Associated Press shows that Schäuble strongly support Chancellor Angela Merkel, the head of the government was able to accept more than one million refugees. AP suggests that the transfer of prize by the minister “may be seen as a symbolic sign of support for Merkel.”

The Foundation awarded the head of the Ministry of Finance the award for balancing the state budget, despite the additional burden in the form of acceptance of migrants.
