Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said on Friday that the leader of the terrorist group Al-Shabab, Hassan Ali Dhoore was killed in a US drone attack – gives aljazeera.com.
Cook reported that the attack took place on Thursday in southern Somalia. The statement added that the US military is still working on the assessment of the effects of this operation. He stressed that Hassan Ali Dhoore was related to the attack on the base of the troops of the African Union on the edge of the airport in Mogadishu as well as the attack on a hotel in the Somali capital.
The attack had killed two other person, but not given any information about them.
