The incident took place in the north east of India in Kokrajhar located in the state of Assam. The incident occurred at the bazaar, which is recognized as one of the most visited by locals. According to the information of the local police that several men dressed in military uniforms opened fire on the people residing in the bazaar. Then they had to throw grenades into the crowd. According to witnesses, the whole operation was attended by two or three attackers, who were armed. One of them had to be killed at the scene. The other two so far failed to capture.
