Alarms bombings were published in two planes flying to Brussels: from Oslo and Stockholm – said on Wednesday evening the Belgian media. Both aircraft landed safely.
Official “La Libre Belgique” quoted on the website of the federal prosecutor’s office in Brussels, according to which “the threat was serious enough” to enter the extraordinary security measures. In turn, the federal prosecutor later provide French-language public broadcaster RTBF that “the threat was not serious.”
Both aircraft landed safely. Belgian television reporter Bart Raes was a passenger flight from Oslo. According to him, the pilot informed the passengers about the threat 20 minutes before landing. Everybody had to wait 10 minutes before leaving the machine. No one, nothing happened.
The second aircraft was from Stockholm.
Several other flights were diverted to other airports.
Shortly after hours. 20 Belgian Red Cross said that the announced extraordinary security measures have been canceled.
Official “Le Soir” reported that information about the threat of the Belgian ministry got from abroad. It now has to be investigated.
In March, Brussels Airport and the subway have become targets of terrorist attacks, which admitted the Islamic State. They killed 32 people. Many of the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in Paris from November 2015, which killed 130 people, also lived in Brussels.
